Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the CHEMEX Gifting Program (the "Program"), operated by CHEMEX Corp. ("CHEMEX," "we," "us," or "our") and facilitated through the Bloop referral app.
The Program allows eligible CHEMEX customers to share unique gifting codes with friends, family, and other prospective customers. Eligible new customers can receive 10% off eligible products on their first qualifying purchase at www.chemexcoffeemaker.com, while the referring customer can earn $5 in CHEMEX store credit when the referred customer completes a qualifying purchase.
By participating in the CHEMEX Gifting Program, generating a gifting code, sharing a gifting code, or redeeming a referral offer, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before participating.

1. How the CHEMEX Gifting Program Works
The CHEMEX Gifting Program allows eligible existing customers to share unique gifting codes with friends, family, and other prospective customers.
By clicking "Get Referral Link," registering through the Bloop referral interface, or entering/applying a gifting code at checkout, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The Program works as follows:
An eligible existing CHEMEX customer obtains a unique gifting code through the Bloop referral app.
The customer shares their gifting code with prospective new customers.
An eligible new customer applies the gifting code at checkout on the CHEMEX website to receive 10% off eligible products on their first qualifying purchase.
Once the referred customer's order has been fully fulfilled, the referring customer becomes eligible to receive $5 in CHEMEX store credit.
The newly acquired customer can subsequently participate in the Program by obtaining their own gifting code and referring other eligible new customers to earn store credit.
There is no limit to the number of people a customer may refer, provided each referral meets the eligibility requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility Requirements

2.1. Referring Customers (Gifters)
To participate as a Gifter, a customer must be an existing CHEMEX customer and have access to a valid gifting code issued through the CHEMEX Gifting Program.

2.2. Referred Customers (Gift Recipients)
A Gift Recipient must be a genuinely new customer who has never previously placed an order on the CHEMEX website.

CHEMEX uses email addresses to identify customer accounts and purchase histories. Accordingly, a Gift Recipient must use an email address that has not previously been associated with a customer account or order on the website.
Using a new email address does not automatically establish eligibility if other information indicates that the person has previously purchased from the website or is attempting to circumvent the Program's requirements. Referral codes are limited to one per household/shipping address. Orders sharing the same physical address, credit card details, or IP network as the referring customer may be flagged and disqualified to prevent self-referral abuse.

2.3. First-Time Customers Only
The 10% referral discount is available only to eligible first-time customers and can be used for one qualifying purchase per customer.
Existing customers and previous purchasers are not eligible to receive the first-time customer discount or generate referral rewards by placing additional orders under different email addresses or accounts.
CHEMEX reserves the right to verify eligibility using available account, order, and transaction information, subject to applicable law.

3. The 10% Gifting Discount
Eligible new customers who apply a valid gifting code at checkout will receive 10% off eligible products on their first qualifying purchase from the CHEMEX website.
The following conditions apply:
The gifting code must be entered and successfully applied at checkout.
The discount may be used only once by each eligible new customer.
The discount applies to eligible products only and does not apply to shipping charges.
The discount cannot be combined with other promotional codes, discounts, or offers.
The discount cannot be applied retroactively to an order that has already been placed.
The discount has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or store credit.
The discount is subject to the eligibility requirements and other restrictions in these Terms and Conditions.
The 10% discount is a one-time introductory offer. Once a customer has used the discount on their first qualifying purchase, they cannot use another gifting code to obtain an additional first-time customer discount.

4. Earning $5 in CHEMEX Store Credit
Eligible Gifters will receive $5 in CHEMEX store credit for each qualifying referral.
To qualify for the reward, all of the following conditions must be satisfied:
The Gift Recipient must be a genuinely new customer to the CHEMEX website.
The Gift Recipient must use the Gifter's valid gifting code when placing their first qualifying order.
The order must be successfully placed and accepted by CHEMEX.
The order must be fully fulfilled.
The order must not subsequently be fully returned or canceled, and the referral must otherwise comply with these Terms and Conditions.
Store credit is earned only after the Gift Recipient's order has been fully fulfilled. Sharing a gifting code, applying a code at checkout, or placing an order does not, by itself, qualify the Gifter for the reward.
Once the qualifying conditions have been satisfied, store credit will typically reflect in the Gifter’s customer account within 1 business day following full order fulfillment, subject to any necessary anti-fraud verification checks.
Gifters may earn multiple rewards by referring multiple eligible new customers. There is no stated limit on the total store credit that may be earned through legitimate qualifying referrals. For example, five qualifying referrals will earn the Gifter $25 in CHEMEX store credit.

5. Accumulating and Using CHEMEX Store Credit
Store credit earned through the CHEMEX Gifting Program will be added to the Gifter's CHEMEX customer account.
Customers may accumulate their store credit over time and choose when to use their available balance toward eligible purchases on the CHEMEX website.
The following conditions apply:
Store credit may be accumulated through multiple qualifying referrals.
Customers are not required to spend their store credit immediately after it is awarded.
Store credit acts as an account tender balance applied toward checkout totals. Store credit may be applied toward taxes and shipping fees, unless prohibited by site checkout configurations.
Store credit is non-transferable and may be used only by the customer to whose CHEMEX account it was issued.
Customers may not give, sell, transfer, or otherwise assign their store credit to another person or customer.
Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash or redeemed for cash, except where required by applicable law.
Store credit must be redeemed through the redemption functionality and in accordance with the requirements made available by CHEMEX.
Customers are responsible for maintaining access to the account associated with their store credit.
Expiration: Store credit earned through the CHEMEX Gifting Program expires 365 days after receiving it. Unused store credit will also be forfeited if the customer closes their CHEMEX account, subject to applicable law.
CHEMEX reserves the right to make changes to store credit terms in accordance with Section 10 of these Terms and Conditions.

6. Cancellations and Returns
Referral rewards are conditional on the Gift Recipient completing a qualifying purchase. The following rules apply when an order associated with a referral is canceled or returned.

6.1. Canceled Orders
If the Gift Recipient's order is canceled, the referral will not qualify for the $5 store credit reward. If the reward has already been credited, CHEMEX reserves the right to revoke the associated store credit.

6.2. Full Returns
If the Gift Recipient returns their entire order, the referral will no longer qualify for the $5 reward. If the store credit has already been issued, CHEMEX reserves the right to revoke or reverse the associated $5 reward from the Gifter's account.

6.3. Partial Returns
If the Gift Recipient returns only part of their order but retains some of the purchased products, the Gifter will remain eligible for the $5 store credit reward, provided all other eligibility requirements have been met. A partial return will not, by itself, result in the revocation of the referral reward.

6.4. Other Invalid Transactions
CHEMEX reserves the right to withhold or reverse rewards associated with fraudulent, invalid, duplicated, or otherwise ineligible transactions, subject to applicable law.
These provisions operate alongside the CHEMEX website's applicable order cancellation, return, and refund policies.

7. Prohibited Activities and Referral Abuse
The CHEMEX Gifting Program is intended to encourage genuine referrals to new CHEMEX customers. Participants must not engage in activities intended to manipulate, exploit, or unfairly benefit from the Program.
Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
Referring yourself or attempting to earn rewards through your own purchases.
Creating multiple customer accounts or using alternative email addresses to circumvent eligibility requirements.
Submitting referrals on behalf of existing customers or previous purchasers.
Providing false or misleading information to obtain discounts or store credit.
Using bots, automated systems, or other unauthorized methods to generate referrals.
Manipulating, reselling, or otherwise misusing gifting codes.
Attempting to obtain multiple first-time customer discounts.
Engaging in fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful promotional activities.
Customers may share their gifting codes with as many prospective customers as they wish, provided each referral is genuine and complies with these Terms and Conditions.
CHEMEX reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse and, where reasonably justified, reject referrals, withhold or revoke rewards, restrict participation, or suspend access to the Program.

8. Gifting Codes
Gifting codes are provided for participation in the CHEMEX Gifting Program and must be used in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Customers are responsible for sharing their codes accurately and ensuring that recipients understand the applicable conditions.
CHEMEX reserves the right to invalidate gifting codes where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, misuse, unauthorized distribution, or a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
The availability of a gifting code or reward may be affected by account eligibility, order status, technical issues, or other circumstances relevant to the Program.
Customers experiencing problems with a gifting code or referral reward should contact CHEMEX customer support.

9. Program Duration
As of October 20, 2026, the CHEMEX Gifting Program is intended to remain available until further notice.
CHEMEX reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time in accordance with Section 10 of these Terms and Conditions.

10. Changes to or Termination of the Program
CHEMEX reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the CHEMEX Gifting Program where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
Changes may include adjustments to:
The value of the gifting discount.
The amount of store credit awarded.
Eligibility requirements.
Gifting code functionality.
Store credit redemption conditions.
Other terms governing the Program.
Material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels, such as the CHEMEX website or the Program's associated communications.
Changes will not affect rewards already validly earned, except where reversal is permitted under these Terms and Conditions or required by applicable law.

11. Privacy and Customer Information
Participation in the CHEMEX Gifting Program may require the processing of customer information, including email addresses, account details, and transaction information.
This information may be used to:
Verify eligibility for the Program.
Identify new and existing customers.
Attribute qualifying purchases to referring customers.
Administer and credit store rewards.
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or duplicate referrals.
The Program uses the Bloop referral app to facilitate gifting codes and referral tracking.
Customer information will be handled in accordance with the applicable privacy policy governing the CHEMEX website and any relevant third-party services used to administer the Program.

12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CHEMEX is not responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control that affect participation in the Program, including technical interruptions, website outages, or failures affecting gifting codes or reward processing.
CHEMEX does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Program.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law, including applicable consumer protection rights.

13. Governing Law and Mandatory Dispute Resolution

13.1. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

13.2. Mandatory Binding Arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the CHEMEX Gifting Program, these Terms and Conditions, or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof shall be resolved through final and binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may assert claims in small claims court if the claims qualify.

13.3. Class Action Waiver
YOU AND CHEMEX AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. General Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply specifically to the CHEMEX Gifting Program and should be read alongside the CHEMEX website's other applicable terms, policies, and conditions.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
A failure to enforce any provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision on a subsequent occasion.
